Replacement AC Adapter for HP Omen 17-w223dx

This 150W power supply delivers 19.5V at 7.7A to match the original charger specifications. It is built as a direct replacement for the two listed notebook models. The unit includes a 10 ft power cord for flexible placement. Safety certifications include FCC, CE and RoHS.

Behaviour under continuous load

Over current, over voltage and short circuit protection circuits engage automatically during sustained operation. A smart chip monitors temperature to activate overheating protection when needed. High quality wires and isolation materials reduce interference and support stable output. The adapter is manufactured with new components and tested under strict quality control standards.

Limits of the 100-240VAC input range

Worldwide input voltage covers 100 to 240VAC at 50 or 60Hz for international mains compatibility. The fixed 19.5V 7.7A output cannot be adjusted for other laptop models. Buyers who need a different voltage, amperage or connector type cannot use this adapter. The 150W maximum power rating defines the upper boundary for connected devices.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 150W adapter produce when running continuously?

The adapter includes overheating protection with a smart chip and short-circuit protection, so it stays within safe thermal limits during all-day use and has no moving parts to create noise.

What must I already own for this 19.5V 7.7A charger to work with my laptop?

You need an HP Omen 17-w223dx or 17-w253dx notebook that accepts a 19.5V 7.7A barrel connector and a standard wall outlet supplying 100-240VAC at 50/60Hz.

Will the 10 ft cord and 19.5V output work reliably with older power strips or surge protectors I still use?

Yes, the 10 ft cord reaches most strip layouts and the adapter’s wide 100-240VAC input handles older circuits, while over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protections guard both the charger and connected hardware.
