myVolts PCIe 1x to 4x Riser Card Kit

PCIe 1x to 4x expansion kit

This PCIe riser kit converts a single PCIe 1x slot into four 16x physical slots. It targets mining rigs or workstations that need multiple GPUs or add-in cards from limited motherboard lanes. The board uses an ASMedia controller for PCIe 2.0 signalling across the link. A USB 3.0 cable connects the riser to the main adapter.

Bundled riser, cable and screws

The package includes the 1-to-4 adapter board, a dedicated PCIe 1x riser card and a USB 3.0 interconnect cable. Mounting screws are also supplied for securing the cards in a chassis. No driver disc or management software is included; the hardware is plug-and-play on supported operating systems. The blue PCB and cowhide box are cosmetic details only.

PCIe 2.0 lane and OS limits

The ASMedia chip operates at PCIe 2.0 speeds, so each 16x slot shares the bandwidth of the single 1x uplink. Windows 10 recognises up to eight GPUs, while Windows 7 stops at six; both require modified drivers for full detection. Linux is needed for configurations beyond eight cards. The board provides dual-channel GPU power but does not increase total upstream throughput.
