Compact 12 V 20 A switching supply accepts 110-265 V AC input and includes overload, over-voltage and short-circuit protection
This regulated switching power supply converts AC mains between 110 and 265 volts into a stable DC 12V output rated at 20A. Its small form factor and free-convection cooling make it suitable for professional installations where space is limited. Built-in overload, over-voltage and short-circuit protection help safeguard connected equipment. The unit weighs approximately 645g and operates from 0 to 40°C.
Installers moving from larger linear transformers gain a lighter, more efficient unit that fits inside tight enclosures for CCTV, IP cameras or LED strip lighting. The wide input range accommodates fluctuating mains without manual switching, reducing setup time on site. The jump is worth it when a compact, regulated 12V source with full protection is required for continuous operation. It supports common LED types such as 3528, 2835, 3014, 5050, 5630 and 5730 strips.
The 12V output fixes the maximum voltage available to loads, so devices needing higher potentials cannot be powered directly. Current is capped at 20A, limiting total connected wattage regardless of how many strips or cameras are attached. Voltage drop over long cable runs becomes significant at this current level, requiring thicker conductors or shorter distances. The supply is rated for indoor use up to 40°C ambient with humidity up to 95% non-condensing.

The unit weighs 645 g and uses free-convection cooling, so allow clearance around the case for airflow and secure it on a flat surface with screws through its mounting holes.
Connect live and neutral to the L and N terminals for 110-265 V AC input, then attach the load to V+ and GND for 12 V DC output; tighten all screws firmly.
Replace it if the enclosure exceeds 40 °C during operation, if output voltage drifts outside the adjustable range, or if overload, over-voltage or short-circuit protection trips repeatedly.
