A 300W AT switching power supply delivering 5V at 60A with overload, overvoltage, short-circuit and over-temperature protection
This AT-form-factor switching unit delivers a regulated 5 V output at up to 60 A for 300 W total power. It accepts 100-120 V or 200-260 V AC input, making it suitable for worldwide bench use. Built-in protections cover short circuit, overload, overvoltage, over-temperature and inrush current. A forced-air fan and honeycomb copper transformer keep temperatures low during continuous operation.
The 60 A rating comfortably runs multiple CCTV cameras, radio transceivers or microcontroller arrays from a single rail. Voltage regulation stays tight while the fan spins at 4500-5000 rpm to move air through the vented alloy chassis. Headroom disappears when the combined draw approaches 300 W; sustained loads above that trip the overload guard and shut the output down.
The 215 x 115 x 50 mm enclosure is far smaller than equivalent iron-core units, freeing rack or cabinet space. Swapping a legacy linear supply for this switcher cuts weight and heat while adding the full protection suite. The upgrade pays off when the installation needs quiet, fan-cooled operation and automatic fault recovery without manual fuse changes.
