Adjustable DC power supply delivers 0-60 V and 0-5 A with dual voltage and current displays, CV/CC auto-switching, and short-circuit, over-temperature and current-limit protection
The myVolts STP6005D is a bench-top adjustable power supply designed for engineers, technicians and hobbyists who need a variable DC source for circuit development, calibration or factory maintenance. It delivers continuously adjustable output from 0 to 60 volts and 0 to 5 amps with automatic constant-voltage and constant-current crossover.
The unit operates in ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius and up to 80 percent relative humidity, with over-temperature protection that shuts the output down if internal heat rises too high. A 250 VAC F5AL fuse and current-limiting buck circuitry guard against shorts and overloads, while the switching topology achieves up to 80 percent efficiency to limit waste heat and fan noise during normal use.
Voltage regulation holds to 0.5 percent plus 3 millivolts line regulation and 0.1 percent plus 3 millivolts load regulation at currents up to 3 amps, rising to 0.2 percent plus 5 millivolts above that level. Current regulation stays within 0.2 percent plus 3 milliamps line and 0.2 percent plus 6 milliamps load, with both voltage and current ripple specified at 50 millivolts or milliamps RMS. Buyers who need tighter ripple or faster transient response than these figures provide should look elsewhere.

Connect the unit to a 250VAC mains supply using the fitted F5AL fuse, then set the output voltage and current limits before enabling the output; the step often missed is verifying the CV/CC mode indicator matches the load requirement.
The internal F5AL 250VAC fuse is the only user-replaceable part; replace it with an identical rating if the supply fails to power on after an over-current event.
The over-temperature protection engages once the internal temperature exceeds the 0–40°C working range, shutting down the output until the unit cools.
