The adapter delivers a steady 65 W via USB-C Power Delivery at 20 V / 3.25 A, matching the listed maximum output.

How much heat or fan noise does the unit produce when powering a laptop all day?

No fan is present; the brick runs silently and warms to a typical level for a 65 W GaN-class supply under continuous load.

Which cable is required to connect this charger to a Dell XPS 13 9360?

A USB-C to USB-C cable rated for at least 65 W (3 A / 20 V) is needed; the box includes only the AC adapter and a detachable mains lead.
