Rugged Magnetic Cable for Sonim XP5 XP6 XP7

This USB cable is built for Sonim XP5, XP6 and XP7 handsets and their XP5700, XP6700 and XP7700 variants. The magnetic contact points let you snap the connector on quickly, even with gloves or in low light. A braided nylon jacket replaces the usual plastic sheath to resist abrasion, water and daily stress on job sites or in the field.

Practical Limits of Magnetic USB Sync

The magnetic interface only works with the listed Sonim models; it will not attach to standard micro-USB or USB-C ports on other phones. Data transfer and charging speeds follow the legacy USB 2.0 specification used by these devices, so large file moves will be slower than on modern interfaces. The 3.5 foot length is fixed and cannot be extended without adding a separate USB extension cable.

Replaces Fragile OEM Cables

This cable replaces the original Sonim charge and sync cord that often frays at the strain relief or cracks in cold weather. The upgrade is worth it when the factory cable fails, when you need a spare that survives repeated connect-disconnect cycles, or when you want a single cord that works with both wall and car USB adapters. It does not add fast-charging protocols or video output that the phones themselves do not support.
