Extends Ethernet over telephone wire up to 2 km for 720P, 960P or 1080P IP cameras and up to 200 m for 5MP cameras

  • Extends IP camera signals up to 2Km over existing telephone wire
  • Dual-chip CPU with DIP switch prevents crashes on high-bitrate streams
  • Supports 720P, 960P and 1080P cameras at full 2Km distance
  • Compatible with 5MP cameras up to 200M for flexible deployment
  • Reuses legacy cabling to cut network installation cost

Extender Kit for IP Cameras

This pair of Ethernet extenders carries IP camera signals over existing twisted-pair or telephone wiring. It supports 720P, 960P and 1080P cameras at long range and works with up to 5MP models at shorter distances. The kit is built for installers who need to reuse legacy cabling for new surveillance deployments.

Integration with Existing Wiring

Each unit connects directly to two-wire cables without requiring a network switch or PoE injector at the remote end. Power must be supplied locally to the camera because the extender does not pass PoE from a switch. The DIP switch on board lets you tune the link for stability.

Thermal and Power Behaviour

The dual-chip CPU design runs without active cooling and is rated for continuous operation. Because the hardware draws little power and generates minimal heat, it suits enclosed junction boxes or outdoor enclosures. No fan noise is produced during normal use.

Questions about this item

How far can the extender reliably carry a 1080P IP camera signal before the bandwidth drops off?

The manufacturer rates 2 Km (6500 ft) for 1080P cameras, but notes that the ideal distance is within 500 metres; beyond that the transmission rate falls.

Does the extender kit generate noticeable heat or fan noise when running continuously?

The kit uses a dual‑chip enhanced CPU with a DIP switch and has no fan, so it runs silently with minimal heat under normal load.

What power sources do I need on site for the two extender units to operate?

Each unit requires its own local power supply; the kit does not support PoE or power from network switches.
