802 Series Folding Chair

The National Public Seating 802 is a steel-framed folding chair with a gray polypropylene seat and back. It ships assembled in a four-pack and uses an 18-gauge tubular frame with double riveted cross braces for structural rigidity.

Indoor and outdoor event seating

The inverted rear leg U-brace prevents the frame from sinking into soft ground, making it suitable for grass or gravel surfaces. Buyers needing padded cushions, armrests, or a lighter frame for frequent solo transport should consider other options.

500 lb static load capacity

Bureau Veritas testing confirms a 500 lb static load rating, with a 480 lb working weight capacity for regular use. The 18 inch seat height and 16 inch seat depth accommodate average adult proportions, while the non-marring glides protect finished floors during indoor events.

Questions about this item

What floor type do the grey polypropylene glides protect when I set up the NPS 802 chair?

The colour-matched glides are non-marring, so they slide on hardwood, tile or laminate without leaving scuff marks.

Will the 18-gauge steel frame still hold 480 lb if I keep using the chair outdoors?

Yes — the powder-coated frame and inverted rear U-brace are designed for indoor or outdoor events and the chair was tested to 500 lb static load.

How can I confirm the double hinges and riveted cross braces are locked after unfolding?

Open the chair fully; each side hinge clicks into place and the two U-shaped braces sit flat against the seat frame with no gap.
