This kit supplies sixteen pre-cut pieces of 1.1 mm black acrylic foam tape built on the VHB 5952 formulation. The double-sided synthetic adhesive bonds plastic, glass, metal, wood, tile and marble without mechanical fasteners. It is intended for makers, hobbyists and installers who need a clean, drill-free hold on smooth, non-porous surfaces.

Waterproof, heat-resistant adhesive performance

The closed-cell foam maintains its grip from -40 °F to 180 °F and resists solvents and moisture for indoor or outdoor use. In cold weather the supplier advises warming the bonding surface with a hair dryer before application. Full cure requires 24 hours after a 30-second firm press on a clean, oil-free substrate.

Tensile strength and surface limits

Rated at 90 psi (620 kPa) tensile strength with a foam density of 590 kg/m³, the tape handles typical decorative, automotive trim and lightweight electronic mounts. It will not develop full strength on porous materials such as concrete, and the adhesive must completely cover the contact area to reach rated performance.
