Two-sided thermal receipt printer printing at 203 dpi and 12 ips with USB and serial interfaces on 24 V power
The NCR 7168-5023-9001 is a new thermal receipt and slip printer built for retail and hospitality counters. It prints at 12 inches per second with a 203 dpi resolution on media up to 3.15 inches wide. Two-sided output lets a single unit handle customer receipts and merchant slips.
This model prints on both sides of the paper without manual intervention, cutting the need for a second device. The 203 dpi resolution keeps barcodes and logos legible on receipts and slips alike. USB and serial interfaces connect to most POS terminals.
The printer maintains its rated 12 inches per second during continuous print runs rather than only in short bursts. A 24 VDC, 3.125 A supply feeds the mechanism through the included AC adapter. Thermal technology avoids ribbon changes that would interrupt long shifts.

The 12 ips rating is the maximum black print speed; actual throughput depends on data complexity, interface latency and the POS software driving the printer.
USB and Serial connections cap the data rate to the host, so very dense graphics or high-volume logs may print slower than the 12 ips engine maximum.
The printer accepts rolls up to 3.15 inches wide, so allow enough horizontal space for that roll diameter plus clearance for the cover to open and close.
