Healthcare handset for mobile staff

The NEC G577h is a DECT handset built for healthcare environments. Its white anti-bacterial plastics and IP65 rating suit wards, clinics and care homes where hygiene and splash resistance matter. A large SOS key and integrated location services support personal safety workflows. The handset targets mobile professionals who need voice, messaging and alarming in one rugged device.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

The handset runs on a battery rated for very long life and standby time, so charging intervals stay wide during full shifts. No active cooling is present, keeping operation silent in patient areas. A USB-C port handles charging and data, while an optional single or dual charger can top up a spare battery simultaneously. Power draw is limited to the handset and charger only.

Build fit and system needs

The handset pairs with a DECT base station and PBX for call control, central directory and presence features. A MicroSD card enables simple plug-and-play provisioning without extra tools. The rugged belt clip secures the unit on uniforms, and the drop-resistant housing survives everyday knocks. Buyers who need a second handset or a different form factor should check the wider G577 range.
