Replacement lamp for NEC projectors

The NEC LT40LP is a new 120W P-VIP projector lamp module supplied as a complete bulb-and-housing assembly. It is designed for users who need a direct replacement to restore brightness in compatible NEC projectors without sourcing separate components.

Ready-to-install housing with OEM bulb

The module arrives fully assembled, so the installer does not need to handle a bare bulb or align a separate reflector. Depending on stock, the unit may contain an Osram P-VIP bulb from the original manufacturer, an NEC-sourced OEM version, an alternative OEM bulb, or a third-party compatible built with genuine OEM parts.

Simple swap with no tools required

Installation consists of opening the projector lamp door, removing the old module and inserting the new one until it seats firmly. The most common issue is forgetting to reset the projector's lamp-hour counter after fitting the module, which leaves the replacement lamp showing the previous usage time.

Questions about this item

How often will I need to replace the 120W P-VIP bulb inside this LT40LP module?

The lamp is rated for 1000 hours of operation, so plan on a new module once you approach that runtime.

What stops me from running this lamp continuously for longer sessions?

The 1000-hour rated life is the limiting factor; exceeding it reduces brightness and risks premature failure.

How much heat and fan noise should I expect from the 120W lamp during all-day use?

A 120W P-VIP lamp generates noticeable heat, so the projector's cooling fans will run steadily throughout the day.
