NEC M260XS Replacement Lamp Module

The NEC M260XS lamp module (model NP15LP) is a new 185W replacement projector lamp supplied as a fully assembled bulb and housing. It is designed for users who need a direct swap for the original lamp in compatible NEC projectors without separate component handling.

Lamp Life Under Continuous Use

Rated life reaches 5,000 hours in normal mode and extends to 6,000 hours when the projector runs in economy mode. These figures reflect sustained operation rather than brief test cycles, so brightness and colour stability are maintained across the full rated interval.

Installation and Common Issues

The pre-assembled housing allows tool-free insertion into the projector's lamp bay, reducing alignment errors. The most frequent installation problem is forgetting to reset the projector's lamp-hour counter after replacement, which can trigger premature replacement warnings.

Questions about this item

How much heat and power does the 185 W NSHA lamp add during long sessions?

The lamp draws 185 watts, so the projector’s cooling system handles that heat continuously; economy mode extends life to 6,000 hours while reducing thermal load.

What projector models accept the NP15LP module without extra parts?

The NP15LP fits NEC M260XS projectors directly; the bulb and housing come pre-assembled so no separate cage or tools are required.

Will the 5,000-hour normal-life rating hold up if I keep using my older ceiling mount and cables?

Yes — lamp hours are counted internally by the projector, so existing mounts and signal cables do not affect the rated 5,000 or 6,000 hour lifespan.
