NEC NP-U321Hi-TM projector lamp module

The NEC NP-U321Hi-TM module is a complete replacement lamp assembly built around a new Philips UHP 260W bulb. It arrives fully housed so the projector can be relamped without separate bulb handling. The unit is manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards and is intended for users whose NEC projector has reached the end of its original lamp life.

Installation ease and common pitfalls

The lamp module slides into the projector’s lamp compartment and locks with the existing retaining screws, requiring no special tools. Care must be taken not to touch the glass envelope of the UHP bulb, as skin oils can create hot spots and shorten the rated 3,000 hrs service life. After fitting, the projector’s lamp-hour counter must be reset through the on-screen menu so the replacement timer starts from zero.

Behaviour under sustained load

During continuous operation the 260W UHP lamp maintains stable ignition and consistent light output for the rated 3,000 hrs. The housing and connections are validated for repeated thermal cycling, so brightness does not degrade prematurely when the projector runs for extended sessions. Each unit undergoes beam-performance and run-time checks before shipping to ensure reliable operation throughout the full lamp life.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 260W lamp is working correctly after installing it in my NEC projector?

Power on the projector and verify the lamp indicator shows normal operation; the unit should reach full brightness without flickering and the timer will begin counting toward the 3,000-hour rated life.

What comes in the box with the NP-U321Hi-TM lamp module, and is anything else required for installation?

The module includes a fully assembled Philips UHP 260W bulb inside its housing, ready to fit directly into compatible NEC projectors; no extra parts or tools are needed.

Which version of the NP-U321Hi-TM lamp should I choose among the OEM and compatible options?

All versions meet ISO9001 quality checks for beam performance, ignition, voltage and run-time; select the OEM version from the original bulb manufacturer for exact-match specifications or the compatible version for a lower-cost alternative.
