throw business projection

The NEC M333XS is a DLP projector built for meeting rooms and classrooms that need a large image from a short distance. Its 3300-lumen output keeps presentations visible with lights on, while the short-throw lens avoids shadows when a presenter stands close to the screen.

XGA resolution and brightness headroom

Native resolution is 1024 x 768, so text and spreadsheets render sharply at that grid; the projector also accepts 1080p signals and scales them down. At 3300 lumens it handles medium-sized rooms with ambient light, but very large venues or direct sunlight will exceed its comfortable range.

HDMI input and contrast limits

A single HDMI port carries the 1080p video mode into the unit, providing a straightforward digital connection for laptops and media players. The 10,000:1 contrast ratio delivers decent black levels for business graphics, yet dark-scene video content will show the limits of a single-chip DLP light engine.

Questions about this item

Will the 3300-lumen output and 1024x768 native resolution work with my older 4:3 laptops and VGA sources?

The projector accepts 1080p signals and scales them to its 1024x768 DLP panel, so legacy 4:3 computers and VGA devices will display correctly at native resolution.

How can I verify the 10,000:1 contrast and 3300 ANSI lumens are performing after installation?

Display a standard test pattern; the DLP chip should produce deep blacks at 10,000:1 contrast and a bright, uniform white field at the rated 3300 lumens.

Does the box include an HDMI cable and ceiling mount for the 8.2-lb short-throw unit?

The bundle ships with the projector and power cord; an HDMI cable and any ceiling-mount hardware must be purchased separately.
