Meeting-room projector for educators

The NEC NP-M271X delivers 2700 lumens of brightness and a native 1024 x 768 resolution through its 3LCD engine. It accepts video signals up to 1080p and includes HDMI, dual VGA, USB and RJ45 connections. Built-in speakers and a bundled remote support quick setup in classrooms or conference rooms.

Steady output with eco management

ECO Mode technology extends lamp life up to 10,000 hours while a carbon savings meter tracks energy use. The projector maintains a 3000:1 contrast ratio across its 40.00 to 300.00 inch image range. Automatic colour correction and DICOM Simulation help preserve image quality during long sessions in healthcare or education settings.

Check throw distance and network needs

The 1.37:1 to 2.27:1 throw ratio determines how far the unit must sit from the screen for a desired image width. Verify that your room layout fits this range and that an RJ45 port is available for Crestron RoomView monitoring. Wireless imaging from an iPad requires the Wireless Imaging Utility and a compatible network.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the NP-M271X get when it runs all day in a meeting room?

The 2700-lumen 3LCD engine reaches full brightness at 2700 ANSI lumens with a 3000:1 contrast ratio; ECO Mode reduces lamp power to extend life up to 10,000 hours, lowering both fan noise and heat output during long sessions.

Which cables or sources must I already have to connect the NP-M271X?

The projector provides dual VGA, HDMI and USB inputs plus an RJ45 network port, so you need a VGA or HDMI cable for a laptop, a USB drive for direct playback, or a network link for Crestron RoomView and Wireless Imaging Utility from an iPad.

Will the NP-M271X work with the 1024×768 laptops and older VGA-only devices we still use?

Native resolution is 1024×768, matching those laptops pixel-for-pixel, and the dual VGA inputs accept legacy analogue sources directly; it also scales 1080p, 720p, 576p and 480p signals through the HDMI port.
