Compatible NEC NP17LP projector lamp

The NEC NP17LP is a replacement lamp module built for NEC projectors that accept the NP17LP part number. It ships with a 265W Osram UHP bulb pre-mounted in its housing, so the unit arrives ready to fit. This product suits technicians and AV managers who need a direct swap without sourcing bare bulbs separately.

Straightforward housing swap

Installation consists of removing the old lamp cage and sliding the new assembly into place, a process the manufacturer describes as easy. No separate bulb handling or alignment is required because the bulb is already secured in the housing. The lamp is produced under ISO9001 controls and tested for ignition, voltage and connections before shipment, reducing the chance of a dead-on-arrival unit.

Steady output for daily use

In normal mode the lamp is rated for 3000 hours and in economy mode for 3500 hours, giving a clear view of expected service life under continuous operation. The 265W UHP design maintains consistent brightness across those hours rather than fading quickly after an initial peak. Buyers who run projectors for extended sessions will see stable performance throughout the rated interval.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the NEC NP17LP lamp is working correctly after installation?

The projector should ignite reliably and display a stable, uniform image. The lamp is rated for 3000 hours in Normal mode and 3500 hours in Economy mode, so tracking the hour counter confirms expected longevity.

What components are included with the NP17LP and what must be purchased separately?

The module arrives as a fully assembled 265W Osram UHP bulb inside its housing, ready for direct installation. No extra parts are required for the lamp itself.

Which version of the NP17LP should I choose among the OEM and compatible options?

Three OEM versions exist: the original bulb maker's lamp, the NEC-branded equivalent, and an alternate OEM source. A fourth compatible version uses genuine OEM parts at a lower cost. All meet ISO9001 quality checks.
