Verify Projector Compatibility Before Ordering

Confirm that your NEC projector lists the NP12LP or NP4100W as the approved lamp module. Check the current lamp hour counter in the projector menu to ensure the replacement is timely, and inspect the existing housing for heat damage that could affect the new module.

Thermal Performance and Rated Lifetime

The lamp operates at 280W and delivers 2,000 hours in normal mode or 3,000 hours in economy mode. Standard projector cooling handles the thermal load, and the ISO9001-qualified build ensures stable ignition and consistent beam output throughout the rated life.

Questions about this item

Does the NP4100W lamp ship as a complete housing or just the bare bulb?

The module arrives fully assembled with a new 280W P-VIP bulb inside the housing, so no separate cage or tools are required for installation.

What is the difference between the three OEM versions and the compatible version?

Three OEM variants come from Philips, Osram, Ushio, Phoenix, Iwasaki or Matsushita — either the original bulb maker, NEC's own supply, or another OEM source — while the compatible version uses genuine OEM parts from a leading third-party manufacturer.

How many hours can I expect from the 280W lamp in normal and economy modes?

Rated life is 2,000 hours in normal mode and 3,000 hours in economy mode, both measured to ISO9001 quality standards.
