Compact IR Night Vision Light

The Neewer AgoKud is a portable infrared light built for vloggers and videographers who shoot in complete darkness. It uses 49 IR lamp beads to illuminate subjects up to 20 metres away without visible glare. A built-in 2000mAh battery powers the unit and recharges via USB Type-C. Three cold shoe mounts allow stacking with other lights or a microphone.

Practical Limits of Infrared Illumination

Infrared light is invisible to the human eye but recorded by camera sensors, so footage appears monochrome with a characteristic glow. The 20 metre range assumes optimal sensor sensitivity; actual distance varies with lens aperture and camera ISO performance. Battery life depends on continuous output level and ambient temperature. USB Type-C charging requires a compatible cable and power source not included.

Check Your Setup Before Ordering

Verify your camera or camcorder has a standard cold shoe receptor for mounting. Confirm the device can focus and expose correctly under pure IR illumination, as autofocus may hunt in total darkness. Ensure you have a USB Type-C charger or power bank for recharging the 2000mAh cell. The 6.7 x 8 x 3 centimetre body adds 95 grams to your rig.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 49-LED version or a model with fewer emitters for night recording?

The 49 infrared LEDs deliver the stated 20-metre illumination range; fewer LEDs would reduce that reach.

What does the 20-metre range mean when I mount this on a camera?

It lights subjects up to 20 metres away in total darkness, letting you record clear footage without visible light.

How does the USB Type-C charging port affect daily use?

The USB Type-C port recharges the built-in 2000mAh battery quickly from common power banks or adapters.
