Purpose & Audience

The Neewer F-601 is a 60 LED USB ring light designed for video conferencing, live streaming and content creation. It suits remote workers, streamers and anyone who needs consistent, adjustable illumination at a desk or on the move.

Setup Check

Power the light with a 5V/2A USB adapter or power bank; a typical laptop port only supplies 5V/1A and may cause flickering. Verify you have a monitor or laptop edge thick enough for the clip, or enough desk space for the telescoping stand and weighted base.

Thermals, Noise & Power

LED operation runs cool and silent with no moving parts. The unit draws 10 W from a standard USB supply, so it adds minimal load to a power strip or portable bank. The 97+ CRI output remains stable across the 3000K-6000K range without audible coil whine or heat buildup during extended sessions.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what do I need to supply myself?

The package includes the F-601 ring light, a clip for monitors or laptops, a telescoping stand with weighted base, and a phone-holder groove. You must provide a USB power source rated at 5 V / 2 A or higher — a laptop port usually supplies only 1 A and can cause flicker.

How do I decide between the colour-temperature presets?

Five presets span 3000 K to 6000 K. Choose lower values around 3000 K for warm indoor ambience, mid-range for neutral daylight balance, and higher values near 6000 K for cool, crisp lighting that matches outdoor shade.

What does the 450 Lux figure mean at my desk?

At typical working distance the 60 LEDs produce 450 Lux with a CRI of 97+, giving bright, flicker-free illumination that renders skin tones accurately across the 10 %–100 % dimming range.
