1.5TB DDR5 ECC RDIMM kit

This 1.5TB memory kit contains sixteen 96GB DDR5 4800 CL40 registered DIMMs. It is built for ThinkMate TWX-QS8-14E4 and TWX-QS8-24E4 tower servers that require ECC registered memory. The modules operate at 1.1V using major OEM DRAM from Samsung Micron or Hynix. Buyers needing non-ECC unbuffered DIMMs or a different capacity should look elsewhere.

Sustained load stability

Each module is stress tested under load before shipping to verify reliability in continuous server workloads. The registered design and on-die ECC protect data integrity during extended operations. CL40 latency and 4800 MT/s throughput provide consistent bandwidth for multi-threaded applications. Systems without DDR5 RDIMM slots cannot use this kit.

Installation notes

The 288-pin DDR5 RDIMMs install vertically into compatible server DIMM slots following the platform manual population rules. Sixteen modules fill a large number of slots so installers must follow the correct sequence for the specific ThinkMate model. No heat spreaders are present so airflow across the PCB is required. Mixing with other speeds ranks or voltages is not supported.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 1.1V DDR5 4800 kit draw when the server runs all day?

Each 96GB module operates at 1.10V; the 16-module kit totals 1.5TB, so sustained power scales with the number of populated slots and workload intensity.

What must the ThinkMate TWX-QS8-14E4 or TWX-QS8-24E4 already have for this registered ECC RDIMM kit to function?

A motherboard with 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM slots, a CPU memory controller that supports registered ECC DDR5 4800, and a BIOS that recognises 2Rx8 96GB modules.

Will the CL40 2Rx8 modules work alongside any older DDR5 sticks I keep in the same ThinkMate tower?

The server will run all installed DDR5 at the lowest common speed and latency; mixing ranks or capacities can prevent the full 1.5TB from being recognised.
