128 GB DDR5 ECC RDIMM kit for ThinkMate servers

This 128 GB kit contains two 64 GB DDR5 4800 registered DIMMs with ECC and a CL40 latency. It is built for ThinkMate SuperServer 611C-TN4R and 621C-TN12R systems that require registered error-correcting memory. The modules run at 1.10 V and use a 2Rx4 organisation.

Sustained load behaviour with registered ECC

Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller during continuous operation. ECC corrects single-bit errors and detects multi-bit errors without halting the system. The 4800 MT/s data rate and CL40 timing deliver steady throughput for virtualisation, database and compute workloads that run for extended periods.

Installation notes for 288-pin DDR5 RDIMMs

Align the single key notch on each 288-pin module with the slot and press firmly until the retention clips lock. Populate the slots specified in the server manual to enable the correct channel configuration. Systems that do not support DDR5 registered ECC RDIMMs will not accept these modules.

Questions about this item

Does the 1.10 V operating voltage keep power draw and heat low when this 128 GB kit runs 24/7 in a Thinkmate 611C-TN4R?

The modules run at 1.10 V, the standard DDR5 voltage, so power consumption and thermal output stay within normal DDR5 limits for continuous server operation.

What must the Thinkmate 621C-TN12R already have for this 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM kit to be recognised at boot?

The server needs DDR5 RDIMM slots that support 2Rx4 registered ECC modules and a BIOS configured for 4800 MT/s CL40 memory.

Will the 2Rx4 registered ECC design work alongside any existing DDR5 RDIMMs already installed in the Thinkmate 611C-TN4R?

Yes, provided the installed modules are also DDR5 RDIMMs with ECC and the same 4800 MT/s speed; the memory controller will train all channels to the common 4800 MT/s CL40 timing.
