A 128 GB registered DDR5 ECC kit with two 64 GB modules running at 6400 MHz and CL52 latency for the Supermicro SYS-242B-NR server
This 128GB kit contains two 64GB DDR5 6400MHz PC5-51200 modules built for the Supermicro MP SuperServer SYS-242B-NR. Each module is a 288-pin ECC RDIMM with a 2Rx4 organisation and CL52 latency. Registered buffering and on-die ECC protect data integrity in multi-socket server workloads.
Registered DDR5 modules keep signal integrity stable across all populated slots during continuous operation. The 1.1V operating voltage reduces power draw per gigabyte while the ECC logic corrects single-bit errors without halting the pipeline. CL52 timing is maintained across the full 128GB capacity under prolonged load.
Upgrading from a lower-capacity registered kit removes the need to swap modules between slots to reach working-set size. The jump is worthwhile when virtual machines, in-memory databases or container clusters exceed the previous memory ceiling and the SYS-242B-NR memory controller supports the full 6400MHz data rate.

The modules run at 1.1V standard DDR5 voltage; registered ECC RDIMMs at this speed typically draw a few watts per stick, so the pair adds minimal heat to a server chassis with normal airflow.
The motherboard needs free DDR5 RDIMM slots that support registered ECC memory and a BIOS that recognises 2Rx4 64GB modules at 6400MHz.
Mixing ranks is possible if the platform's memory controller supports it; populate each channel with identical rank configurations for best stability.
