128GB DDR5 4800 ECC RDIMM Kit

This 128GB kit contains four 32GB DDR5 4800 modules built for Thinkmate HDX-QN8-52E4 high-density servers. Each stick is a registered ECC RDIMM operating at 1.10V with CL40 latency. The 2Rx8 organization uses major OEM chips from Samsung, Micron or Hynix. No heat spreaders are fitted.

Ideal for Thinkmate server upgrades

Suits administrators expanding memory in Thinkmate HDX-QN8-52E4 platforms that require registered ECC DDR5. Not for desktop PCs, laptops or consumer motherboards that only accept unbuffered non-ECC DIMMs. Builders needing lower capacities, higher speeds or different form factors should look elsewhere.

Registered ECC RDIMM requirement

The modules are 288-pin DDR5 RDIMMs with on-die ECC and register buffers. The system memory controller must support registered ECC DDR5 at 4800 MT/s. If the target platform only accepts unbuffered UDIMMs or a different DDR generation, these modules will not function.

Questions about this item

How do I install these 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM modules in the THINKMATE HDX-QN8-52E4 and what step is commonly missed?

Power down, open the chassis, align each module's notch with the slot key, press firmly until both latches click, then verify all four 32GB sticks are recognised in BIOS before closing the case.

What maintenance or replacement will this 128GB ECC registered kit need over its service life?

No scheduled maintenance is required; ECC corrects single-bit errors on the fly, and a module is only replaced if the system logs uncorrectable errors or a DIMM fails POST.

What limit appears first when this CL40 1.10V memory runs sustained workloads on the THINKMATE server?

The DDR5 4800 MT/s data rate and CL40 latency set the throughput ceiling; sustained loads will saturate bandwidth before voltage or thermal limits become a factor.
