ThinkMate Server Memory Kit

This 16 GB kit contains two 8 GB DDR4 3200 ECC registered DIMMs built for ThinkMate HDX high-density servers. The modules operate at 1.2 V with a CAS latency of CL22 and use a 1Rx8 organisation. They are intended for administrators who need validated, registered memory for mission-critical workloads.

Registered DDR4 Platform Limits

Registered DDR4 DIMMs require a motherboard with a registered-memory controller and cannot be used in standard desktop or consumer workstation boards. The 288-pin form factor fits only DDR4 RDIMM slots; it will not seat in UDIMM, SO-DIMM or DDR5 sockets. System BIOS must support ECC and registered operation for the modules to function.

1Rx8 Rank Determines Compatibility

The single-rank 1Rx8 layout is the specification that decides whether this kit matches your ThinkMate HDX-QT24 or HDX-QN24 configuration. Dual-rank or quad-rank modules change the electrical loading and may exceed the platform’s rank-per-channel limit. Verify the server’s qualified vendor list for 1Rx8 RDIMMs before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2x8GB kit or a single 16GB module for my Thinkmate server?

The 2x8GB kit populates two slots for dual-channel bandwidth, which registered DDR4 platforms such as the Thinkmate HDX-QT24-52E3 are designed to use.

What does the 3200 MT/s rating deliver on a Thinkmate HDX-QN24-52E3?

At 3200 MT/s the modules run at PC4-25600 bandwidth with CL22 latency, giving the server its rated throughput when the memory controller is set to DDR4-3200.

Does the 288-pin RDIMM interface limit capacity on the HDX-QT24-32E3?

Each 288-pin RDIMM is a 1Rx8 8 GB registered module; the platform's maximum capacity is determined by its slot count and memory-controller limits, not by the RDIMM form factor itself.
