Four-module kit provides 16 GB of DDR3 1600 SODIMM memory at 1.35 V for Apple iMac systems
This 16 GB kit contains four 4 GB DDR3 1600 modules built for Apple iMac and Mac Mini systems. The 204-pin SODIMM form factor fits the memory slots in compatible all-in-one and compact desktops. It targets owners of those machines who need the maximum supported capacity in a matched set.
Each stick runs at 1.35 V without a heat spreader, keeping the profile thin enough for tight SODIMM sockets. The 2Rx8 organisation and CL11 latency are native to the PC3-12800 specification. Major OEM chips from Samsung, Micron or Hynix are used throughout the kit.
The memory operates at DDR3 1600 (PC3-12800) with non-ECC unbuffered signalling. Systems that require ECC, registered modules or a different DDR generation will not accept this kit. Verify that your Apple model specifies DDR3 1600 SODIMM before purchase.

Yes, the DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 specification means the modules run at 1600 MT/s; the iMac memory controller will not push them beyond that speed.
Each 4 GB module uses a standard 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM edge connector with the key notch offset for DDR3; it fits the SO-DIMM slots in compatible iMac and Mac mini models.
Power down, open the memory door, eject any existing sticks, insert each 2Rx8 module at an angle until the gold contacts disappear, then press firmly until the side clips click; the step most often missed is pressing hard enough to engage both clips.
