Registered DIMMs add a clock cycle of buffering, so they only work in motherboards designed for registered memory. The DDR4 2400 PC4-19200 speed caps bandwidth at the JEDEC standard rate; faster modules will down-clock to this speed. Mixing registered and unbuffered modules is not supported by the platform.
