Registered ECC Architecture

The stick uses a 2Rx8 organisation at 1.20V and plugs into standard 288-pin DDR4 RDIMM slots. Because it is registered, the module presents a lighter electrical load to the memory controller, allowing higher total capacities per channel than unbuffered DIMMs. No heat spreader is fitted, so airflow across the PCB must be supplied by the server chassis fans.

Upgrade From Lower-Capacity RDIMMs

Replacing 8GB or 4GB registered ECC modules with this 16GB part doubles or quadruples per-slot density without changing voltage or speed.
