Synology FS6400 256GB ECC RDIMM kit

This 256GB kit contains eight 32GB DDR4 2666 registered DIMMs built for the Synology FlashStation FS6400 NAS. Each module runs at 1.2V with CL19 latency and uses 2Rx4 organisation. ECC and registered buffering protect data integrity in the storage appliance.

Suited for FS6400 capacity expansion.

The kit targets administrators who need to reach the maximum supported memory in a Synology FlashStation FS6400. Systems that require unbuffered UDIMMs, non-ECC memory, or speeds other than DDR4 2666 cannot use these modules.

Eight-module kit fills all slots at once

The package delivers eight matched 32GB RDIMMs in a single kit, allowing a complete population of the FS6400 memory slots without mixing part numbers. No heat spreaders are included, and no additional software or accessories are bundled.

Questions about this item

Do I need a Synology FlashStation FS6400 NAS for this 256GB DDR4 2666 ECC RDIMM kit to work?

Yes, this 8 x 32GB registered kit is validated for the Synology FlashStation FS6400. The platform must accept 288-pin DDR4 RDIMM modules at 1.20 V with CL19 timing.

Can I keep my existing DDR4 2666 ECC RDIMM modules and add this 256GB kit alongside them?

Only if the NAS has free 288-pin slots and supports mixed 2Rx4 ranks at the same 2666 MT/s speed and 1.20 V voltage. Matching rank and timing avoids instability.

How can I confirm the 256GB kit is running at 2666 MT/s with ECC active after installation?

Open the Synology DSM interface, go to System Information, and verify the total memory shows 256 GB at 2666 MHz with ECC status reported as enabled.
