Tyan Transport CX 64GB DDR4 ECC Kit

This 64GB kit contains two 32GB DDR4 3200 registered DIMMs built for the Tyan Transport CX GC68-B8036-LE. ECC and registered buffering protect data integrity in server and workstation workloads. The modules run at 1.2V with CL22 latency and a 2Rx8 organisation.

Tool-free DIMM installation in minutes

Align the notch on each 288-pin module with the slot key, press down until the ejector tabs click, and the upgrade is complete. The only common issue is mixing registered ECC RDIMMs with unbuffered or LRDIMM modules, which prevents the system from posting. Always populate slots per the motherboard manual for the correct channel configuration.

DDR4 3200 registered ECC ceiling

The DDR4 interface caps transfer rates at PC4-25600, so bandwidth cannot exceed this standard regardless of faster modules. Registered buffering adds one clock cycle of latency, which is normal for ECC server memory. Systems that require unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs will not accept these RDIMMs.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 64GB 2Rx8 ECC RDIMM kit is running at 3200 CL22 after installation?

Enter the BIOS or use a tool like CPU-Z to confirm the memory reports 3200 MT/s, CL22 timings, 1.20 V, and that ECC and registered modes are active.

What comes in the box and do I need anything else for the Tyan Transport CX GC68-B8036-LE?

The package contains two 32 GB 288-pin DDR4 RDIMM modules; no extra cables, brackets or heat spreaders are required for this server board.

The kit is 2 x 32 GB — would a single 32 GB module work instead?

A single 32 GB 2Rx8 DDR4 3200 CL22 ECC RDIMM will function, but the dual-channel 64 GB kit provides the full bandwidth the Transport CX platform is designed for.
