8GB DDR4 2400 ECC registered RDIMM, CL17 1.2V, for Dell PowerEdge FC430 servers
This 8GB DDR4 2400 ECC registered DIMM is built for the Dell PowerEdge FC430 server. It targets administrators who need validated, single-rank memory to maintain platform stability under continuous workloads. The module uses major-brand DRAM and runs at 1.2V with CL17 timing.
Replacing unbuffered or lower-speed modules with this registered ECC kit adds error correction and the 2400 MT/s data rate the FC430 memory controller expects. The jump is worth it when the server shows corrected-error counts or when firmware requires registered DIMMs for full channel population.
Installation follows the standard 288-pin RDIMM procedure: open the ejectors, align the notch, press until the latches click. The usual issue is mixing 1Rx4 ranks with different rank configurations in the same channel, which the FC430 BIOS may reject at POST.

Yes, the 288-pin DDR4 RDIMM form factor matches the FC430 memory slots. The module is built for Dell servers and uses the registered ECC design the platform requires.
Align the notch on the 288-pin edge connector with the slot key, press firmly until both retention clips click, and verify the 1Rx4 rank is recognised in the BIOS.
The major-OEM chips are stress-tested under load and rated for continuous server operation. No scheduled replacement is expected for the life of the system.
