Ergonomic Lap Desk for Notebooks up to 17 Inches

The nerdytec Couchmaster CYBOT is a portable lap desk designed for notebooks up to 17 inches. It features a three-part construction with a movable bamboo board and vacuum-sealed side cushions that provide lateral support. A built-in ventilation grille aids notebook cooling, while side pockets store power supplies and accessories. A tablet holder and mouse bag complete the package for couch-based work or play.

Suited for Couch-Based Gaming and Home Office

This desk serves users who want a stable, adjustable surface for a notebook on a sofa or chair. The loose board allows quick repositioning or easy exit, and the Kevlar-reinforced cushion fronts add durability. Buyers who require a permanently fixed worksurface or need to support devices larger than 17 inches should consider a different solution.

Three-Part Adjustable Construction Decides Fit

The defining specification is the non-fixed board mounted on separate cushions, which lets the desk adapt to different body sizes and seating positions. This flexibility determines whether the CYBOT matches a user's preferred posture and available space.

Questions about this item

How does the 17 inch limit translate when I actually put my laptop on the board?

The board is designed to support notebooks up to 17 inches, so a device of that size will sit fully on the bamboo surface with room for the mousepad beside it.

What connection or interface does the desk use to cool the notebook?

There is no electronic interface; a built‑in ventilation grille in the bamboo board provides passive airflow beneath the laptop.

What do I need on my side to make the desk stable on a sofa?

The three‑part design uses two vacuum‑sealed side cushions with Kevlar‑reinforced fronts that rest on your lap, and the board simply sits on top without any fasteners.
