Simple Step Counter for Daily Walkers

The NESKLA 838 is a dedicated 3D pedometer built for anyone who wants to count steps without pairing a phone or charging a device. It suits seniors, casual walkers and children who prefer a single-button tool that clips to a belt or hangs on a lanyard. No Bluetooth, no app and no smartphone connection are required.

Capacity and Headroom

The built-in CR2032 cell powers the tracker for up to 12 months before a replacement is needed. The 3D tri-axis sensor registers steps accurately during regular walking, hiking or running, but the 10-step start delay means very short trips may not appear until continuous motion resumes. Irregular movement, slow steps or riding in vehicles can cause missed or extra counts.

Physical and Interface Limits

The unit measures 1.93 in by 0.9 in by 1.57 in and weighs 26.5 g, so it fits in a pocket or on a waistband without bulk. A removable clip and lanyard are included for belt, shoe or neck wear. The large 1.73 in LCD shows step totals at a glance, and the only control is a press-and-hold reset button. No data export, wireless sync or charging port exists.

Questions about this item

Will the NESKLA 838 work with my existing waistband clip or lanyard?

The tracker includes its own removable clip and lanyard that slide into the back slot until they click, so you can use the supplied hardware without needing any extra accessories.

How do I know the 3D tri-axis sensor is counting steps correctly after I start walking?

The pedometer has a 10-step start delay; after you take ten continuous steps the display begins showing the total count, including those first ten steps, confirming the sensor is active.

Does the box contain a battery or do I need to buy a CR2032 separately?

A CR2032 lithium coin cell is already installed and rated for up to 12 months of use, so no separate battery purchase is required.
