A compact Gigabit switch splits one Ethernet line into three ports with USB-C power and LED status indicators
This NETGEAR Ethernet splitter turns one RJ45 uplink into three gigabit ports so multiple devices can share a single cable run. It is aimed at home-office users, small-business desks or Starlink installations that need extra wired connections without pulling new cable. The unit draws 5 V power from the included USB-C cable and requires no software setup.
The switch operates at Layer 1 and delivers up to 1000 Mbps total throughput split among the three downstream ports. Each connected device can negotiate up to 1000 Mbps, but simultaneous traffic shares that single gigabit pipe. Cat5e through Cat8 cables are supported and green LEDs on each output show link status.
Installation is literal plug-and-play: connect the uplink, attach up to three devices, then plug the USB-C cable into any 5 V source. The only common issue is forgetting to supply power — the splitter will not pass traffic without it. The compact 14.33in W x 12.83in H x 9.06in D housing weighs 0.018 kilograms and fits on any desk or shelf.

The 1000 Mbps uplink is shared, so three active devices split that throughput; a single device can use the full 1000 Mbps when the others are idle.
It uses standard RJ45 ports and works with Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat7 or Cat8 cables for gigabit speeds.
The enclosure measures 14.33in wide by 12.83in high by 9.06in deep and draws 5 V power through a USB-C cable included in the box.
