Netgear AXM763 SFP+ transceiver for 10GBase-LRM

This Netgear AXM763 module provides a full-duplex 10Gbps link over multi-mode fiber using the IEEE 802.3aq 10GBase-LRM standard. It operates at a 1310nm wavelength with LC connectors and is automatically detected when inserted into a compatible NETGEAR managed switch slot. The transceiver supports hot insertion and removal while the switch remains operational.

Replaces older 1G SFP modules on multi-mode fiber

The jump is worth it when existing OM1 62.5/125µm, OM2 50/125µm or OM3 laser-optimised 50/125µm cabling must carry 10G traffic instead of 1G. It extends the usable distance of legacy multi-mode plant to 220 metres without requiring single-mode fiber. The module is not for links that exceed 220m or for single-mode infrastructure.
