Tri-band WiFi 7 router delivers up to 9.3 Gbps across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands with a 2.5 Gbps internet port, two 2.5 Gbps LAN ports.
Model RS300
Speed Up to 9.3 Gbps
The Netgear Nighthawk RS300 delivers WiFi 7 speeds up to 9.3 Gbps across three bands: 2.4 GHz at 0.7 Gbps, 5 GHz at 2.9 Gbps and 6 GHz at 5.8 Gbps. A quad-core 2.0 GHz processor with 2 GB RAM handles up to 100 concurrent devices. Four internal antennas and high-power amplifiers provide coverage up to 2,500 sq. ft. Wired connectivity includes one 2.5 Gbps internet port, two 2.5 Gbps LAN ports, two Gigabit LAN ports and a USB 3.0 port. Security uses WPA, WPA2 and WPA3 with 128-bit AES encryption plus automatic firmware updates.
Suits families streaming 4K or 8K video, competitive gamers and smart-home setups that saturate older WiFi 6 gear. The tri-band design keeps the 6 GHz band free for compatible phones and laptops. Buyers who only have a 1 Gbps internet plan and few WiFi 7 clients will not see the full benefit. The router lacks a 10 Gbps port, so multi-gig NAS or workstation links are limited to 2.5 Gbps. Anyone needing mesh expansion or a dedicated gaming dashboard should look elsewhere.
The single 2.5 Gbps WAN port is the fastest path from your modem into the network. If your fibre or cable service exceeds 2.5 Gbps, this port becomes the bottleneck. Two 2.5 Gbps LAN ports and two Gigabit LAN ports handle local wired traffic. A USB 3.0 port adds basic network storage or printer sharing. Choose this model only when your ISP link and primary wired devices fit within 2.5 Gbps.

Other versions of this model
The 2.5 Gbps internet port caps wired WAN throughput at 2.5 Gbps, so multi-gig cable or fiber plans above that rate will be limited by the port.
Four high-performance internal antennas are built into the chassis, so no external clearance is required beyond the unit footprint.
Connect the modem to the 2.5 Gbps internet port, power on, then use the Nighthawk app or web UI to complete setup; many skip the admin password and Wi-Fi name creation step.
