The NETGEAR ProSafe GWN7700 is a five-port unmanaged switch that adds Gigabit Ethernet connectivity to home offices and small-to-medium businesses. It requires no configuration and starts working as soon as devices are connected. Plastic housing allows desktop or wall mounting.

Uplink limited to Fast Ethernet

The uplink interface runs at 10/100 Mbps, so aggregate traffic leaving the switch cannot exceed Fast Ethernet speeds. Jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes are supported on the local ports. Storm control is fixed at 100 Mbps for broadcast, multicast and unicast traffic.

Unmanaged with no SNMP

The switch operates purely as an unmanaged device and does not support SNMP monitoring or remote configuration. Buyers who need VLANs, link aggregation or management protocols must choose a managed model instead.
