Sorbent Roll for Universal Spills
The New Pig MAT229 roll measures ten inches wide by one hundred fifty feet long and absorbs up to forty gallons per package. It is built from eight layers of gray polypropylene and suits workshops, warehouses and fleet yards that handle oils, coolants, solvents or water-based liquids. Perforations every ten inches let you tear off only what you need.
Thermals Noise and Power Draw
This passive sorbent has no moving parts, draws no electricity and produces no audible noise during use. It simply lies on the floor or wraps around equipment until saturated, then is disposed of according to local regulations. No fans, pumps or heat are involved in normal operation.
Bundled Accessories and Software
The roll ships as three perforated sections inside a single package, each section pre-scored into ten-by-ten-inch pads for quick deployment. No dispensers, mounting hardware or digital tools are included, so users supply their own storage rack or spill-kit container if desired.

Questions about this item
How do I install the 10 in x 150 ft sorbent roll and what step is often missed?
Unroll the 150 ft length, tear at the 10 in perforations for pads, and lay the gray side down so the 8-layer polypropylene contacts the spill; the missed step is skipping the perforation tear and using oversized pieces that leave gaps.
What maintenance or replacement will the MAT229 roll need after use?
Each 10 in x 10 in pad absorbs up to 13 3/8 gal; once saturated the polypropylene cannot be wrung out or reused, so you replace the used pads with fresh ones from the same roll until the 40 gal package capacity is reached.
What limit appears first during a large continuous spill?
The 40 gal total absorption capacity of the package is the hard limit; after the three perforated pads reach their combined 40 gal the roll is exhausted and no further universal fluid can be contained.
