Spill Containment Sock
The New Pig PIG212 Sorbent Sock is a universal absorbent designed for facility and traffic safety applications. Each sock measures 2 1/4 in x 42 in and absorbs up to .5 gal of liquid. A 35-pack provides 17 gal of total absorption capacity for coolants, oils, solvents and water.
Replaces Loose Absorbents
These socks replace granular or pad-style absorbents when a flexible barrier is needed to surround equipment or direct flow. The jump is worth it when spills occur near aisles, drains or machinery bases where a form-fitting shape stays in place better than loose material.
Fits Facility Maintenance Builds
The polypropylene skin and cellulose filler resist tearing while conforming to uneven floors. Gray coloring masks grime in industrial settings. The 35-count package stocks a spill kit or maintenance cabinet without requiring specialised storage conditions or additional hardware.

Questions about this item
How much floor space does each 42 in sock cover when laid flat?
Each sock measures 2 1/4 in diameter by 42 in length, covering a narrow linear area ideal for surrounding machine bases or lining walkways.
What is the correct way to position the sock so the polypropylene skin does not tear?
Place the sock with the outer mesh facing up and press gently to seat it; avoid dragging it across rough concrete which can snag the skin.
When should I replace a sock that has absorbed coolant or oil?
Replace the sock once it reaches its 0.5 gal capacity — the gray cellulose filler will appear fully saturated and heavy, and the 17 gal package total helps track overall usage.
