Universal spill containment
Each sock measures 3 inches by 48 inches and absorbs up to .75 gallons of coolant, oil, solvent or water. A pack of 12 delivers a total capacity of 9 gallons for larger spills or multiple locations. The blue polypropylene skin resists tearing during placement and retrieval.
Thermals noise and power
Passive sorbent material requires no electricity, generates no heat and produces no audible noise during use. Vermiculite filler locks in liquid without dripping when the sock is lifted. Polypropylene outer mesh contains the filler while allowing rapid fluid contact.
Replaces loose absorbents and clay
Ideal for facilities switching from granular products that create dust and tracking hazards. The fixed shape stays in place around machine bases and along aisles. Not suited for buyers who need acid-specific neutralisation or reusable wringable booms.

Questions about this item
How do I install the 48 in sorbent sock and what step is often missed?
Lay the sock flat against the spill area so the full 48 in length contacts the liquid; the step often missed is ensuring no gaps between adjacent socks when using multiple from the 12 pack.
What maintenance or replacement will the vermiculite-filled polypropylene socks need?
Each sock absorbs up to .75 gal; once saturated the polypropylene skin cannot be wrung out, so replace the individual sock and dispose of it according to local regulations.
What limit appears first during sustained use of the 12-pack?
The package absorbs 9 gal total; after that volume the blue socks are fully saturated and no further fluid is retained.
