Scale & Subject

This New Ray Toys set pairs a 1/43 scale Peterbilt Model 335 tow truck in blue with a Peterbilt Model 387 cab in red. Both models are diecast metal with plastic parts, real rubber tyres and detailed interiors and exteriors. They arrive in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging.

Display Fit

Each piece is a sealed unit with no opening doors, hood or compartments, so they are ready for shelf display without loose parts. The tow truck measures roughly 7.5 inches long, 2 inches wide and 2.5 inches high, while the cab runs about 8 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and 3.75 inches high. No assembly or batteries are required.

Collector Focus

The officially licensed "Long Haul Trucker" series targets adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts who value true-to-scale accuracy in a compact footprint. Buyers who want functional features such as opening doors, a working tow boom or a fifth-wheel coupling should look elsewhere, as these models are static display pieces only.

Questions about this item

How much shelf space does the 1/43 scale tow truck need?

The tow truck measures about 7.5 inches long, 2 inches wide and 2.5 inches high, so allow roughly that footprint on the shelf.

Will the diecast models generate any heat or noise when displayed continuously?

No, they are static diecast replicas with no moving parts or electronics, so they produce neither heat nor sound.

Do I need any tools, batteries or assembly to display the set?

Nothing is required; the two models arrive fully assembled in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging.
