Scale and subject

This New Ray Toys diecast model reproduces the AgustaWestland AW101 helicopter in 1/72 scale with Canadian Forces Search and Rescue markings. It is built for adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts who want a detailed replica of this specific airframe.

From smaller scales to 1/72

Moving up from smaller scales such as 1/55 adds noticeably larger dimensions and more surface area for panel lines, antennas and access panels. The jump is worth it when display space allows a model roughly 10.25 inches long and the priority is maximum exterior fidelity.

Verify display space and material expectations

Confirm that a shelf or cabinet can accommodate a model approximately 10.25 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and 3 inches high. The construction mixes diecast metal with plastic parts including real rubber tires and an opening sliding door, so buyers wanting an all-metal build should note the hybrid composition.

Questions about this item

How much space does the 10.25-inch long diecast helicopter need on a shelf?

The model measures approximately 10.25 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and 3 inches high, so allow a little extra room around those dimensions for the display stand.

Does the opening sliding door need any assembly or is it ready to pose?

The helicopter arrives fully assembled in its original unopened packaging; the sliding door operates straight from the box with no extra steps required.

Will the real rubber tires or the diecast metal parts need any upkeep over time?

The rubber tires and diecast metal construction are designed for static display; occasional dusting is the only maintenance the model needs.
