1/42 Scale Cessna 172 Skyhawk Kit

This 1/42 scale plastic model kit reproduces the Cessna 172 Skyhawk in white with green and yellow stripes. It is aimed at adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts who want a detailed replica without complex assembly. The kit arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging. No glue or paint is required to complete the model.

Build Integration

The kit comprises six plastic parts that screw together using the included screwdriver. Because no adhesive or paint is needed, the build stays clean and requires no extra workshop supplies or drying time. Once assembled the model measures 7.5 inches long and is designed solely for static display. It does not feature openings or moving parts and is not intended for flight or radio control use.

Included Accessories

A display stand is supplied so the finished aircraft can be shown immediately on a shelf or desk. The screwdriver provided is the only tool required for assembly. There are no decals, paint pots or additional hardware in the box. Buyers who want a model with opening panels, motorised features or a larger parts count should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the assembled Cessna 172 Skyhawk model fit inside a standard 7.5 inch display case?

The finished kit builds to exactly 7.5 inches long, so it fits a case with at least that much clear interior length.

Will the plastic parts warp if the model sits on the included stand near a sunny window all day?

The kit is moulded in standard display-grade plastic; prolonged direct sunlight can soften or fade any plastic model over time.

Since no glue or paint is required, what tools must I already own to complete the kit?

A small Phillips screwdriver is included, so no additional tools are needed for assembly.
