Product Identity

The Paper Mate Write Bros. Grip 2124505 is a stick-style ballpoint pen with a 1 mm conical tip that lays down red ink. A comfort grip and thick barrel support extended writing sessions at home, in school, or at the office. The pack contains twelve pens, each with a pocket clip for easy access. The ink is airplane-safe and non-erasable.

Upgrade Context

These pens replace basic stick ballpoints that lack a padded grip or low-viscosity ink flow. The jump is worth it when daily writing volume causes hand fatigue or when skipping and blotting disrupt notes. They are not suited for users who need refillable barrels, erasable ink, or archival-grade pigment.

Interface Limits

The conical 1 mm tip produces a consistent medium line but cannot vary width like a rollerball or fountain pen. The non-refillable design means the entire pen is discarded once the ink is exhausted. Red ink may not meet requirements for formal documents that mandate black or blue. The barrel offers no visible ink-level window.

Questions about this item

Does the 1 mm conical tip on the Write Bros. Grip pen need any special paper to avoid bleed-through?

The ultra-low viscosity ink is formulated for smooth flow on standard office paper; no special paper is required for the 1 mm conical tip.

How do I start ink flow if the pen skips on the first few strokes?

Remove the cap, hold the pen tip-down, and scribble gently on scrap paper until the red ink flows consistently.

When the red ink runs out, can I refill the barrel or must I replace the whole pen?

The Write Bros. Grip is not refillable; once the ink is depleted, the entire stick pen is replaced.
