12 MP 4K Webcam with PDAF

The Newline NewEye 62 Kit is a 12 megapixel USB webcam that captures 4K video at 30 frames per second and 1080p at 60 frames per second. It uses phase-detection and contrast-detection autofocus for fast, stable focus. The kit includes a tripod stand and a privacy cover.

Streamers and remote workers needing 4K at 30 FPS

This camera suits users who want 4K resolution at 30 FPS or smooth 1080p at 60 FPS with a 79° field of view. It is less suited for buyers who require 4K at 60 FPS, a narrower field of view, or built-in ring lighting.

USB-powered with tripod for flexible mounting

The webcam draws power from a USB-A connection and works with Windows 7 or later and macOS 10.10 or later without extra drivers. The supplied tripod frees up desk space and allows placement away from the monitor. The privacy cover blocks the lens when not in use.

Questions about this item

Does this webcam need any special software or drivers to work on Windows 10?

No, it uses a USB-A plug-and-play connection and is compatible with Windows 7 and above, including Windows 10, without requiring additional software installation.

Will the 79° field of view fit both me and my dual-monitor setup in the frame?

The 79° wide-angle lens captures a broad area suitable for including your surroundings or a second monitor, while the PDAF autofocus keeps you sharp if you move closer.

How can I verify the camera is actually recording at 4K resolution after I plug it in?

Open your video platform settings and confirm the output is set to 4K at 30FPS; the sensor supports 12 megapixels with 8 effective megapixels for that resolution.
