Students and Mobile Professionals

This configuration suits buyers who want a single device for coursework, office tasks and light entertainment on the move. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 cannot deliver playable frame rates in modern 3D titles, so gamers expecting dedicated GPU performance should look elsewhere.

Intel HD Graphics 620

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 is the specification that determines whether this laptop meets your visual workload. It handles desktop composition, video playback and older or lightweight games, but it lacks the 3D throughput required for current AAA gaming or GPU-accelerated creative applications.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Intel Core i7-7600U get when the 144 Hz screen runs all day?

The Intel Core i7-7600U operates at a base frequency of 2.8 GHz and can boost to 3.9 GHz. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 shares system memory and generates modest heat under sustained load. The slim chassis relies on passive airflow; expect fan noise to rise during extended gaming sessions.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use the Mini HDMI port and the numeric backlit keyboard?

The laptop includes a Mini HDMI output, so you need a Mini HDMI to HDMI cable or adapter for an external monitor. The backlit numeric keyboard and touch pad are built in; no extra peripherals are required for basic operation.

Will the Intel HD Graphics 620 drive my older 1080p 60 Hz monitor alongside the built-in 144 Hz panel?

Yes. The Intel HD Graphics 620 supports dual-display output via the Mini HDMI port. It can drive an external 1920 x 1080 monitor at 60 Hz while the internal 15.6-inch panel runs at its native 144 Hz refresh rate.
