Copper Reducing Coupling 1-1/2" x 3/4
This Nibco 600R sweat fitting joins 1-1/2 inch copper tube to 3/4 inch copper tube in a straight run. It is rated for air, gases and potable water systems. Wrot copper construction handles up to 577 psi at 200 degrees F and a maximum temperature of 400 degrees F. The fitting is new and supplied without additional packaging notes.
Verify tube sizes and joint method before ordering
Confirm that both pipe ends match the 1-1/2 inch and 3/4 inch copper tube dimensions listed. The connection type on each side is a cup joint for sweat soldering, so flux, solder and a torch are required. Ensure the system design stays within the 577 psi and 400 degree F limits. No other connection styles or materials are compatible with this fitting.
Suits plumbers reducing copper lines in potable
Installers needing a straight reduction between the two stated sizes will find this coupling appropriate. It is not for press, push-fit or threaded connections. Builders requiring a different reduction ratio, a repair coupling with a stop, or a fitting rated above 577 psi should select another product.

Questions about this item
Does the 600R coupling include solder or flux, or must they be purchased separately?
The fitting is supplied as a single wrot copper sweat coupling; solder, flux and any pipe preparation materials are not included and must be bought separately.
How do I decide between the 1-1/2 inch and 3/4 inch ends of this reducing coupling?
The larger cup fits 1-1/2 inch copper tube (1 5/8 in outer diameter) and the smaller cup fits 3/4 inch tube (7/8 in outer diameter); choose the orientation that matches the pipe sizes you are joining.
What does the 577 psi rating mean when the fitting is installed in a hot-water line?
The coupling is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 577 psi at 200 °F and can withstand temperatures up to 400 °F, so it remains within specification for typical residential hot-water systems.
