Reducing 90-degree copper elbow
The Nibco 607R joins 2-inch and 1-1/2-inch copper tube using sweat cup connections on both ends. Wrot copper construction suits air, gases and potable water systems. The close-rough pattern keeps the centre-to-end dimension compact for tight rough-in spaces.
Sweat-joint installation notes
Clean tube ends and fitting cups thoroughly, then apply flux before heating evenly with a torch. Uneven heat or dirty surfaces cause voids and leaks at the joint. The reducing step means the two tubes sit at different depths; support both sides while soldering to avoid stress on the completed joint.
Pressure and temperature headroom
Rated for 364 psi at 100 degrees F and up to 400 degrees F, the elbow handles typical residential and light-commercial hot-water and compressed-air lines. It is not intended for steam service or pressures above the listed maximum. The 90-degree turn adds friction loss, so long runs with multiple elbows may need larger tube upstream.

Questions about this item
How can I confirm the 607R elbow is sealed correctly after soldering?
Pressurise the line to the rated 364 psi at 100 degrees F and inspect both cup joints for leaks; a tight joint shows no moisture.
What comes with the 607R and what must I supply?
The fitting itself is included; you must provide copper tube sized to 2 1/8 in and 1 5/8 in OD, flux, solder and a torch.
Which 607R size fits a 2 in to 1 1/2 in copper tube reduction?
This model is the 2 x 1 1/2 variant with cup connections for 2 1/8 in and 1 5/8 in outer diameters.
