Two-Piece Bronze Ball Valve
This 3/4 inch FNPT bronze ball valve uses a two-piece body construction for inline plumbing connections. It handles air, steam and water in residential and light commercial systems. The full-port design maintains unrestricted flow through the valve body. Builders specifying NIBCO components for hydronic or compressed-air lines will recognise the standard pattern.
600 PSI Pressure Rating
Rated for 600 psi operating pressure and 600 psi steam service, the valve body and chrome-plated brass ball withstand typical hydronic and low-pressure steam loads. The lever handle provides clear on-off indication without gearing or actuators. No vacuum or combustible-gas ratings are published, so the valve is not suited for those duties. Manual operation keeps power draw at zero.
Lever Handle and Full-Port Ball
The chrome-plated brass ball and lever handle ship assembled on the valve body, requiring no separate hardware kit. Full-port geometry reduces pressure drop compared with reduced-port alternatives. No 3-A sanitary rating is claimed, limiting use in high-purity food or pharmaceutical lines. Installation follows standard FNPT threading practice without proprietary tools.

Questions about this item
How do I install the 3/4" FNPT bronze ball valve, and what step is often missed?
Thread the valve onto the 3/4" FNPT connections using pipe sealant, then tighten with a wrench on the valve body flats; the step often missed is orienting the lever handle for easy access after the pipe is secured.
What maintenance will the chrome-plated brass ball and bronze body need over time?
Periodically cycle the lever handle from fully open to fully closed to prevent the ball from seizing, and inspect the packing nut for leaks; retighten or repack the stem packing if drips appear.
At what pressure limit does the 600 psi rating become the governing constraint during sustained use?
The 600 psi maximum operating pressure for air, water and steam is the first limit reached; do not exceed this pressure in any service condition.
